A 2025 study followed nearly 4,000 adults for eleven years. The ones with the least power were six to seven times more likely to die than the ones with the most. Strength barely mattered. Power is the single biggest predictor of how long and how well you live, and almost no one measures it.
When you are always gassed, everyone assumes it is a fitness problem, so they do more cardio. Usually it is a power problem. Build your power and you get fitter without any extra cardio. Think of two people at the same pace: one cruising at 60% of their max, the other flat out at 90%. Power is what gives you that reserve.
That cranky knee or grumpy back is usually not wear and tear. It is weakness: the tissue has gone soft for what you are asking of it. Build the right strength and the aches quietly go away. We find exactly where you are weak, and what to do about it.
Most of what you call ageing is not age. It is detraining, and detraining reverses. Trained people hold around 90% of their peak into their fifties. If you have trained before, your body remembers, it comes back fast. If you have not, you are younger today than you will ever be again.
